Muse Of Fire 2018

Abigail Yentis continues to develop herself as a prowessed artist, going
strength to strength as she explores different mediums and creates a
conglomerate of worlds and wonder in how she paints. Having transitioned
from learning as a student in one of the finest art institutions in London, to
mastering her craft as an independent artist, Abigail Yentis has made her
foray into exploring reality and human emotion through various trips and
shows. Yentis has spent the last two years exhibiting in exciting, innovative
locations – including the creative city hub of Rome, and the Church Palace
Hotel. Her art can be seen in regular progressive and cutting-edge haunts of
London, adding substance and ambiance to beautiful lounges and locations.
She continues to grow and mature as an artist, seeking out various methods
of inspiration and artistic creation in order to connect to the viewers of her
paintings.
This exhibition finds Yentis exploring her own emotion and humanity as much
as she does through others around her; dreamlike visions of a world not so
far from reality, Yentis creates an almost alive aura to each piece, capturing
life within the fluid vessels of enamel, gold leaf and free flowing oil paint.
Yentis’ paintings depict her own aura and darkness, yet she never allows the
colours to overwhelm or confuse the viewer. We are left to decide what sort
of form, being, emotion, or world the painting invites us to create. The real
beauty of her art can be found particularly in how she portrays human
fragility, darkness and emotion –a theme we can all take away from this
exhibition as we all learn to navigate this mad world as a society together.
